You are correct......

In this case my p bid 54, the opponent bid 70, i went 75 and missed it by 3 and lost the game.

My p had 4 meld, but a 8 card run in hearts and could have easily made 80.

The opponent did have double pinochle and was coming in the same thing I came in, the opponent partner had 6 meld, so If I passed, they may or may not have made it. but by me going set 75, and not saving, they won.

: Well, my way of thinking, if my partner wanted it, he would've bid at least 65. However, he did not give me meld bid. So I am thinking, he doesnt have that strong of hand. However, since it is last hand, I would bid 75, because wth a little help from my P, I should be able to take
: and make the bid. LOL, but i would pass if opponent went to 80

: : But use this one. Change answer d. from LHO to RHO as LHO already passed. Thanks....
: : This question was a real live event. After the response's are in, I'll let you know what happened and why. ===============================================

: : Its the 8th hand of a tournament. You are ahead by 65 points.

: : : The RHO deals, you got an 8 card run, aces, or a total of 26 meld, with out the run. you give your partner 30 meld by bidding 53. The LHO Passed, your partner bids 54, the RHO bids 70.

: : : What would you do?
: : : a. Pass, hoping the RHO is trying to force you to bid higher.
: : : b. bid 75 thinking your partner has 10 meld
: : : c. Pass, hoping your partner will bid 75.
: : : d. Bid 75 thinking the LHO will go 80?
