I'm afraid that from the original players of yspades, you are going to find some who were left with some bad feelings because of a huge lack of support from cases for what used to be a HUGE league of dedicated players. But those same players came to the ladder daily, played lots of games, and were willing to give a lot of time to help keep the ladder going.
We all know the cheaters, the bashers...they are going to come with any online game. For some, it is because they can hide behind a yahoo ID..for some, they have lots of issues that they have no power over, so they unloaded online at a place that seemed like a second home. Many of us got to know each other over years of playing together. We played thousands of games. Many met not only online but in person, and some lifelong friendships developed. My favorite partners are still some old friends from the early days of this league.
Yspades used to be a really fun place to hang out. We laughed and sang in the lobby and teased each other all the time. And we had some of the best players around. To be #1 was an accomplishment, and not many could stay there long. And if you slept, you'd wake up the next day 100 rungs lower.
The players had some class. They played for love of the game. They were good sports and treated each other with respect. For the first few years, there were rarely complaints of cheating....then the ladder grew and the problems grew with it. I remember as an op, having positive proof of cheating, and the players got a slap on the wrist and were back in a day or 2 doing the same thing again.
It would be nice to see the ladder rebuild, with good honest players, like it was nearly a decade ago. I don't know if that will happen, but we sure did have fun back in those days!
If you do want to make it work, it will take patience and a positive attitude from everyone. This ladder used to fill 3 yahoo rooms...now it struggles to fill 3 tables...but the ones I have seen wishing to rebuild are some of those good honest players who made it fun...so maybe....maybe....good luck and happy spading all!

: It would have you taken as long to ask this question via Support as it did for you to type it in here, and you would have received the answer you wanted just as fast if not faster.

: Op's are trained to have members use the support links when certain ladder issues are involed as then they have tools to sus things out properly.

: Ok maybe your direct question was mis-understood or maybe what you are talking about happened a year ago and it was mistaken that it is a current situation and that is why the support links were suggested .. so in saying that, to answer your question, the policy was changed about 5 months ago that anyone caught cheating will have there Stats Reset, spend more PB time than previously and any HOF entries will be deleted.
