After I heard about the rumor of Snookums passing, I sent an e-mail to her basically saying "tell me it's not true". I received the following message from a friend of hers.

My name is Gia...Marcia's wife. I am sorry to tell you this but Marcia passed away on August 15, 2000. Her Funeral was on Thursday August 17, 2000 at 11:15 a.m.
She loved playing backgammon, it made her forget how sick she was. We did not expect her to pass away it was very sudden...we thought the doctor's got a hold on her problems.
Marcia and I loved each other like no two other people in this entire world. I miss her so much....words can not even explain how much.
Could you please give me the name of the site Marcia went to to play Backgammon I would like to let everyone know how much she enjoyed playing
Backgammon with them.
