Ok ... update from Friday last week.
Testing went well ... we have a couple of issues with the multiplayer protocol to address ... and a couple of graphics bugs to squash which should be easy.

The 'one time unique nickname' account management tool worked flawlessly, as did the new weblaunch game lobbies.

The drip is gone (yay!) and the player that sets up a game room has the ability to boot an annoying or unwanted player out of their room.

When I get the last of the "big" bugs fixed, I will release the game as "open beta" to you the players, and you can use it, test it, try to break it ... this will give you the earliest look at what the new game and the website player support stuff means.

Match and tournament support is still being designed ... we'll include some rudimentry matchplay features in the initial release and streamline the design of further match and tournament play with your input as players as part of that implemetation.

I know it has taken a long time, it is a much bigger task than just the game itself, and there is little to spend on this as it is a free game so resources are limited.

It's looking good now though, and I think you'll like what the new future will bring, as development will continue even after we release the earliest new version of Wildcards to you.

Hang in there folks, you've been great so far.
