Players, I would like to give everyone some helpful information about how some things are done and need to be done on the ladder. Please understand that this is only for informational purposes and I will not respond to replies.

Tournament Director Meetings:

It was mentioned during the Marathon about players concerns being discussed at TD Meetings, and topics were openly suggested in the lobby chat for things to be discussed at the next TD Meeting. I thought that players should know how the TD Meeting Agenda is created.

Before the meeting is held, the Head TDs send out an e-mail to TD team asking for suggestions of things they would like to discuss at the TD Meeting. When we get a response to our e-mail from the TDs we add the topic to the agenda.

Does this mean we do not want player input into the topics? Absolutely not! We have a set process about how we create our meeting agendas, and when a TD or Head TD knows about player concerns and would like to discuss them at the TD meeting they can follow the process and request the topic be added to the agenda. Openly requesting things be added to the TD Meeting agenda in the lobby chat or in a forum post is not the correct process to get things added to the TD Meeting agenda. This process has been followed for quite a long time and we continue to follow it today. This is the same process that I have used in the past when I was a Head TD on other ladders, so the process hasn't changed either.

Complaints:

Every player has the right to complain but there is also a set process for filing complaints. Openly complaining in the lobby, or complaining in the message forum is not the proper process.

The proper process begins with using the LEFT HAND MENU and Clicking on the CONTACT US link.

When you open the Contact Us menu you will find User Complaint, TD Complaint and Ladder Op Complaint. Once you click on the appropriate link you will just fill out the box to start the complaint process. Please understand that when you file a complaint that it will be handled according to the complaint process. If requested you will need to be able to provide proof to back up your complaint. The proof will usually be in the form of screenshots.

Screenshots

It was mentioned that some players may not know how or are unable to take screenshots. It is actually a fairly easy process.

There is a freeware program called PrintKey which is what most of the Case Ladder staff use to create a screenshot. If you search Google you will find several sites that you can download this simple program from. This program will allow you to create screenshots and using the "rectangle" option only save the part of the screen you need rather than saving the entire screen. It will also allow you to save it as a .jpg file or a .gif file which are much smaller file sizes and easier to attach to e-mails.

Once you have filed your complaint, the Case Staff person who is handling the complaint will contact you and ask you for your screenshots. That is when you will send your screenshots in. The complaint will be handled properly, when the process is followed correctly.

Everything on we do on this ladder, whether it be registering for a tournament, reading this message forum, or filing a complaint has a process. All we need to do is follow the process. Correctly following the process is how things should be done.
