when you have suggestions for changes in the ladder, the best thing to do is send in a support mail and the Op Staff will consider it and respond.

In this case - you can always send in a support mail and ask to be moved down the ladder to another rung - say #10. Most likely this will keep you in that same spot until you are active again.
