Howdy all :)

Lately we have been receiving complaints via IM regarding players misbehaving. I'd like to take a moment to remind us how to submit a complaint, and what is required to do so. This message will contain instructions for filing a complaint, the complaint process, and required proof.

If you feel a player is breaking a rule (including unsportsmanship), it is YOUR responsibility to file a complaint. If you do not file a complaint, please don't expect anything to be done to correct the situation.

TO FILE A COMPLAINT:
1. Go to the Ladder's main page (http://www.igl.net/pog8ball) and scroll down on the left to the SUPPORT section.

2. Click "CONTACT US". Here you will find an assortment of options.

3. If you want to complain about a player, click "Mail Us" at the bottom. Log in.

4. Choose the subject that the incident pertains to. If it pertains to multiple, use your judgement or pick General. **Remember that if the situation occured during a tournament to choose Tournament for the subject.

5. Give a detailed description of what happened and submit the form.

THE COMPLAINT PROCESS:
The whole process happens in this order.
1. Situation occurs.
2. Player files complaint.
3. LadderOp reads complaint and requests proof if necessary.
4. Player sends proof to LadderOp.
5. LadderOp reviews proof.
6. LadderOp gets the other person's side of the story if necessary.
7. LadderOp issues a warning or penalty based on prior violations.

PROOF IS REQUIRED IN ALL COMPLAINTS... PERIOD!!!

Proof is almost always in the form of screenshots. A screenshot is a picture of what is on your computer screen. This doesn't mean to use your camera and take a picture! There are a variety of programs available for simple screenshots. YOU CAN GET SCREENSHOTS WITHOUT A PROGRAM!!

HOW TO TAKE SCREENSHOTS:
Go to www.download.com and search for the program ScreenPrint.
OR
1. Press the Prnt Scrn button (upper right area of most keyboards).

2. Open the Paint program. It is often found in Start>Programs>Accessories.

3. In the Paint program, at the top click EDIT, then PASTE. This should put the captured image in the Paint program.

4. Next, at the top click FILE, then SAVE AS.. Name the file and at the bottom CHOOSE THE FILE TYPE to .gif or .jpg.

5. Repeat for as many screenshots as needed.

REQUIREMENTS OF PROOF:
1. Proof MUST be provided.
2. Screenshots MUST document the ENTIRE conversation, with lines of chat OVERLAPPING. We want to see the whole thing, with nothing missing.
3. Screenshots must include your ENTIRE screen, clock, taskbar, and all.

In conclusion, players must submit a complaint and obtain proof if they wish for something to be done about a broken rule. Screenshots must capture the entire converstaion with no lines of chat missing.
