Latest Update on getting into the room

Hi Everyone,

I am pasting the content of an email I got today from Rhonda at Case's concerning the games being down and how to get into the games.

This is pretty much what I have already told you from the help forum but will paste it anyway.

http://hoylegames.sierra.com/ seems to be down again. I'm trying to
find some information on the problem and if/when it will be resolved.

In the meantime, the following seems to work for most players:

1. Open the C:\WINDOWS\32\drivers\etc folder and right click on
the Hosts file.
2. If there is a check mark in the "Read Only" box remove it and then
click Apply.
3. Now double click on the Hosts file.
4. When the dialog box opens and asks you what program you want to
use to open it, select Notepad.
5. At the bottom of the file starting in the first column and keeping
everything on one line enter 8.5.0.53 hoylegames.sierra.com.
6. Be sure that there is at least one space between the IP address
and the host name.
7. Close the Hosts file and save it.

Also, it may be a good idea to start using and passing along the
following link to use instead:

http://hoylegames.igl.net/
