OK folks
The time has come to air a few things out here. Some might have suspected that am someone other than an irreverent joker who enjoys this game.
My real name is Vin....My Ladder name is Vince315.
I was a Staff member with Case's for several years who found a bit of spare time on his hands due to the restructuring of the program and saw a few problem Ladders that might need attention. SO...being the cop in real life, I decided to do a little undercover work and see if all of the allegations of collusion and cheating were anywhere near true.
I joined up under this name, which is an old AOL 'play' name that I have and immediately sensed who the trouble spots might be. I played the bad boy (which actually is more of my personality than I care to admit) and went with the flow. Initially, no one knew who I was and I preferred it that way as I didnt want anyone in trouble if the bosses found out.
Later, Eve figured out something was going on but was threatened with marriage if she said a word.
After playing, watching and reading for 2 or so months, I found NO evidence of collusion by any of the players that certain players griped about.
What I DID see, was a few ruining it for the rest. I saw some people trying to bully their way to the top ranks rather than play, win and earn it. I saw the same people intentionally violate rules that they griped about, then raise holy hell when they got punished. I saw a few outside Staff members get involved when they had no idea who was who and screwed things up worse.
I write this today because I have resigned from the program due to personal reasons and feel the need to let you know who I really am. I no longer have the time to give to the players and don't want to be a burden. I WILL howevr, play here once in awhile as soon as I get my computer back up and running (This one uses XP grrr)
To the majority of the good people here, keep playing..enjoy the game. Don't let anyone ruin it for you.
To those whiners and cryers...keep it up...you are gradually killing this Ladder by forcing the good ones out. Maybe then you will feel that you have accomplished something. I have played you all, and quite bluntly...ya ain't quite good enough to be in the Top ranks...you just monger your way there. PLay the number 1 enough times and you'll eventually win one. I'd rather strive to be good enough to win consistently and enjoy myself rather than get ulcers over this.
So.when I get back..I can now climb freely...IF I choose to...and I guarantee one thing Ricky...and Prof...and Judy....I will STILL beat you on a regular basis.
