Paul, Im no angel either , and also dont claim to be. I am glad he was a gentleman while plaaying you and dont dispute the validity of your experience w him. I also know that my and many others expereinces with the player in question were much different and I know them to be valid also.
I posted in here because I wish the membership here to grow not shrink, felt after much effort by people to this point a public discussion was needed so those in positions of responsibilty saw not only I had concerns and a decision was made one way or the other . I ask you to consider wether serious backgammon can be played under the adverse atmosphere of abusive behaviors. I speak from ALOT of experience on BOTH SIDES of that board and can tell you its very difficult if not impossible. If my post asking about it offended you I apologize but I feel if i had not posted nothing would have been done.
I say that the the "womens knitting club protocol" is absent. And will remain that way if we as a body do not allow it to return. Standing together as a group when it shows up and trys ti gain a foothold amongst us.

: In regards to the latest ramblings about Pete, let me state this. I don't know Pete except for the matches I played against him here.

: Kicked his butt twice, and he was always a gentleman about it. No harsh words and no comments about luck or whatever.

: Now I'm no angel, and don't claim to be. I don't know what happened with Pete, don't care, and personally don't want to know.

: But there is always two sides to every story. I have learned that the hard way. Every person has some good in them. Let's try to see that in people and make this group grow instead of making it smaller.

: Just my 2 cents worth, which I know is meaningless. But one thing for sure. If this crap keeps up in this forum, I'm out of here for sure, and not that anyone reading this cares. I'll just go back to playing serious backgammon on the other sites, such as Qseries and Gammonzone where quality world class matches can be found, and the "womens knitting club protocol" is absent.
