Carol, I understand that people must be responsible for their actions. That is not the issue. What is the issue is this forum being used as a tool to facilitate whatever actions that must be taken by whomever.

Do whatever is necessary to reach the end means that is necessary to make this site grow. Just keep it out of the forum. You or others have tools to remove negative posts. Use it. You have the intelligence and insight to see that negativity breeds more negativity. Use it also.

The fourm should be utilized for pleasureable comments, not to bring attention to someones faults. If you want to ban someone from this site, by all means do so. A private email will facilitate that and keep this forum for what it was intended, "to have an atmosphere conducive with a relaxed happy atmosphere where people come in for competition and fun" (using your earlier quote).

If this site is going to be a carbon copy of the site of past, or another "soap opera" gaming site, it will be doomed to a quick death.

World Class players are not interested in the every day theatrics of a womens knitting club. What they are interested in is World Class Backgammon played and discussed. Take a look at Kit Woolsey's forum on his web site, and you will get the idea.

Thanks,

Pipshark
