You have a way with words that don’t exactly work.
While the proposal includes raising the debt limit now instead months from now….. it does NOT call for “new presidential powers”
What you are alluding to is the call for the President to invoke the 14th Amendment during the last debt ceiling debacle; of which he didn’t but many felt he had the authority and responsibility.
