You have a way with words that don’t exactly work.

While the proposal includes raising the debt limit now instead months from now….. it does NOT call for “new presidential powers”

What you are alluding to is the call for the President to invoke the 14th Amendment during the last debt ceiling debacle; of which he didn’t but many felt he had the authority and responsibility.

Gesus….. gonna start referring to you as the Drama Queen.

: It's hard to tell with you Leftys. It's so characteristic of your ilk to swallow everything Obama's Gov't controlled media feed yas.

: What Obama is asking for in his latest proposal: New presidential powers to raise the federal debt limit without congressional approval.

: Do you have any understanding of what he is asking for?

: Should Republicans oppose it?

: : What, you never take the time to watch CSPAN or any news?

: : Or maybe you have and just missed the obvious.

: : It was kinda like a two part strategy.

: : First, obstruct any and all efforts to strengthen the economy, then exploit the economy’s weakness for political gain, all in effort to increase G.O.P’s chance for a November victory.

: : While they were good at it and it seemed to take forever….. it didn’t work.

: : In case you weren’t notified Bronco Bama was re elected.

: : Now, that nasty debt. I’m assuming when you say it has only increased by 4 trillion dollars during Obam’s Administration you are acknowledging how difficult it has been to manage it as effectively as it has been.

: : That’s awfully nice of you, and you’re right considering the debt has been growing by leaps and bounds for years in spite of actions taken by this administration and those taken by present and past presidents and Congresses. He could have done better had it not been for the finiancial collapse which lead to one of the worst economic downturns in history, the Afghanistan and Iraq wars and low revenues brought on by the Bush tax cuts.

: : Ironically, Republicans who normally do everything they can to keep revenues down as low as possible are argueing if 2% of current tax cuts should expire.

: : This has got to be driving them crazy

: : Not only that…. A lot of people wouldn’t like um…… like they do now.

: : _________________________________________________

: : : How are the Republicans obstructing? Didn't the DemoRATs led by Dear Leader's marxist agenda for America add over $4 Trillion more to the debt?

: : : What is it you expect to get by soaking it to those who carry the tax burden for those that don't pay anything? More welfare?
: : : ==============================================

: : : : There are some things too good to be true.

: : : : With the election over it seems Republicans are willing to actually do something productive.

: : : : Can you believe?

: : : : Some Republicans are actually saying they care more about our country than a 20 year old pledge they had once made to Grover Norquist, while others say they will violate their pledge for the good of country and because it leads to further debt.

: : : : Hummmm…. Country and oath of office over pledge? Now there’s an innovative idea.

: : : : Of course Norquist, an extreme unelected activist is not real happy about this and says Republicans are suffering from impure thoughts.

: : : : Figures.

: : : : I’ve never really wanted any of our legislators to have impure thoughts before…… but if impure thoughts will remove the Norquist strangle hold of ideological obstruction from congress…….. I’m thinking those are good thoughts.

: : : : You know………if these impure Republican thoughts continue; congress might be able to constructively legislate a fair and balanced plan to address the debt and deficit.

: : : : Dare I dream?

: : : : We shall see.
