When a player leaves a game (no matter the reason) the remaining player may do one of the following:

find a substitute partner

OR

finish the game with a bot

There can only be two reports for every game therefore the winning team (the 2 players who played the last hand as a team) are due the reports. If the winning team included a bot the player who left the game is given a report. If the sub and partner lose the player who left the game is due to report.
