Hello,

I was wondering whether anyone was still here. Looking at the standings page, I see there have been some games not too long ago...

I played on here some time ago, and am still interested in Clue. I first came here when Clue still had a dedicated room on MSN Zone, although there was a message warning that it was no longer supported, and I also played in that generic DirectPlay room. I have used names clue_chris and chrisesirhc as well as glarbex. I didn't play as much as most people, although I did participate in a few tournaments. Does anyone remember me?
I just tried looking for the room on MSN, but could not find it. Is it still there somewhere? I gather that it is still possible to play the game using MSN Messenger?

I myself have made a program to play Clue with - this is Cluedome.

http://cluedome.chrise.me.uk/

It is currently mostly used by people from games.com and the CSI ladder, but I would also like to play with anyone who is still on here. I actually started Cluedome back when both the MSN Zone and games.com were in full swing, because I found it difficult to set up games with the CD version, as I use Linux, and I found that the games.com interface seemed somewhat clumsy and was rather too small for me to be comfortable with. However, nobody was very interested in the program back then, as people didn't want to change from the methods they already used to play. Only after had games.com stopped providing Clue and they had resorted to a text version did I have any success in getting people to play with my program.

I would urge anyone who is still here to make their presence known to me and to the other players on Cluedome, even if you would rather use the CD. I myself prefer the CD version once the difficulty of setting up the game has been overcome. You can even join the chat room without downloading the program. If all the Clue players come to the same place, there is more chance of a game being started. If you already have a chat room, I'll try to get to that too. If there is still enough interest in the CD version, I would be willing to try to make my program intercompatible with it, and/or make it function as a platform for setting up the CD game. It would be easier if people just used Cluedome, but this is considerably less rich in terms of audiovisual content, so I understand if you want to keep using the CD.

Please do contact me via MSN Messenger (chris@mess.mail.chrise.me.uk) or on the Cluedome chat room, even if it is just to show that you are still around and interested in Clue.

Christopher Elsby
