To the Case Euchre players:
This past month has been a very difficult one for our family. Llort Sr was very special to all of us. The response from all of you was so heartfelt and appreciated by all of us. Llort Sr was a very unique person and had touched so many lives over his lifetime. His cheerfulness, his giving of himself, his ability to see only the best in anyone was just a few of his attributes. I thank you for the beautiful plant that you sent and in case you weren’t able to see it I will include a photograph along with this note. I have placed it in my living room so that I will see it everyday as it brings me fond memories of the great friends that we made through playing euchre. Others of you also sent flowers, plants and donations to the JASS (Jazz Appreciation Society of Syracuse) foundation that Llort Sr. was so involved with. That was very thoughtful. There are a few things that I would like to comment on. Llort Sr cherished every evening that he was able to get on line and play cards with many of you. Other nights he and I would routinely go to room 50 in Social room 2 and would be visited by case players or occasionally have some of you joined in with us for a game. All of those events were so meaningful to him. He was so excited when he learned that mamawolf was going to have a euchre tourney in Niagara Falls and that he would be able to meet the ones that he had been playing with on the ladder. He had a way of making whoever you were the most important person to him when he was talking with you. He just loved people and was truly interested in their life and what their interests were. Lepracon- I cried the first time that I played the animation that you dedicated to Llort Sr, but I can’t thank you enough for the pleasure that I have received from playing it over and over again when I have sat at my computer. Llort Sr and I both enjoyed meeting you in Niagara Falls and he enjoyed the many times that he was able to sit and talk with you. Tiffany- you are one of the most caring- I thank you for all that you have done, not just for Llort Sr but for also the rest of the family. Your efforts are greatly appreciated and will be remembered for years to come. Prettysnow- you have given both Llort Sr and I many laughs and hours of enjoyment and well as MOMOFSNOW. I can’t thank you enough for your sincere thoughts and your coming to Llort Sr’s funeral. You are truly a very special friend and have given me many memories that will help me through the coming days. Mamawolf, you and your family are very special and I will treasure the memories of your visit to our home as Llort Sr did also. Pharmgirl and Surfin Sam, what a great day we (a long with aires and arealp) had at the casino. Llort Sr talked about that for days and received so much pleasure from that outing. I think that we all came to realize after the Niagara Falls venture that this group had really bonded together. Dr Fresh- Llort Sr certainly enjoyed playing with you on line as well as at Niagara Falls. He would always look forward to your visits at table 50. HoneyPotts- the poem that you wrote was so special and so true. We could all learn something from it. Thank you for taking the time to post it. JJFUGI1- your thoughts are so true- All that we love deeply, becomes a part of us. Yukerboy- I am sorry that you weren’t able to gets to the Falls and meet Llort Sr. He was looking forward to it as he had memories also of your earlier days as well as the recent ones. He asked about you several times at the Falls. Llort Sr just wanted to meet the real Yukerboy who he knew was a pretty great guy. Tony The Tiger- Llort Sr so enjoyed his long talks with you at Niagara Falls. You gave him some wonderful memories. Pharmgirl- what a thoughtful maneuver to have Llort Sr hold the #1 spot. I know he must have been looking down from heaven with a big smile on his face. Linden1, Evilynn66, Debmarch, Noah, Hubmomdeb and the many others that I may have not mentioned, thank you for all your comfort, blessings and prayers. They are all appreciated. I also want to thank those who took the time to fill out the many cards that were enclosed along with messages in the “Friendship is Only An Arm’s Length Away” box. These I will cherish. I know that I was blessed to have each and every day that I had with Llort Sr, and I thank you all for your support, prayers, and blessings that you passed on to our family.
