The preeminent Boston Red Sox showed the world that they had what it took to prevail in this battle of the leagues. As infelicitous as their victory was, the fact remains they took the World Series in a matter of four games from the milquetoast Cardinals.

The Red Sox has reached a new apogee in the history of their teams franchise. It is like the great obelisk rising from the desert sands, saying 'I am the biggest and the best of all others". This would not have been possible without the mahatma Terry Francona, manager of the Boston Red Sox.

While the Red Sox were able to subjugate the Cardinal team, they were not able to do so with our fans. The Cardinal fans were effervescent, for the most part, right up to the final out of game four. If only that termagant 'Lady Luck' would have been just a little kinder to the Cardinals, we may have been able to at least make the series last for five games.

I have no doubt that the Cardinal team and their fans are very odious to the Red Sox right now. They feel the Sox had to use a subterfuge that caused despoliation of the World Series. This is of course not possible and an unmitigated as something along those lines would have been picked up by both the television cameras and the commentators.

There was one protagonist player that has not been on the teams roster for some time. The common opinion of the Boston Red Sox fans was that their team still had the 'Curse of the Bambino'. The Red Sox World Series victory proved that this was a divergent opinion and that there really is not a curse on the Boston baseball team. The fact that the curse myth has now ended will also end the ribald jokes told by all the fans of both the National and American leagues.

The Boston fans can now have more of a bunchalliance relationship with their baseball team that is normally only reserved for teams and fans who have won a world series. This will also make life much easier on the Red Sox team since they now feel they have conciliatored with their fans.

While the onomatopoeia of the crowds is still fresh in the minds of all, I want to take this time to commend both teams. Both teams struggled at times and neither teams showed the first hint of being irascible. With the Red Sox being the winners of the World Series with the unimaginable of only four games being played, I am sure that the Cardinals are going to hold their heads up high and not be looking for a scapegoat to try and blame for their short comings.

EDITORS NOTE: Just in case you are wondering what this post is about, I am a true blue Cardinals fan and lost a bet. The loser had to post in the Platinum Forum about the winning team and include 20 words (21 with SBs addition) that were hand picked by FTB and Junie. These 21 words have been placed in the text with the bold format so they will be easily found. I do want to personally thank FTB, Junie and SB for their help in this bet. I knew up front that the words would not be easy to fit into text, but never dreamed I would be the one having to place this post. LOL
