Hi All,

Just want to pass on a letter that all the TDMs got from Sr. Staff. I don't want to see any players getting kicked from the ladder because they didn't know. I know I have done this in the past myself. So after reading the letter below please do not register or check in another player that is having problems.

Hello,

We have been receiving complaints once again of Passwords being shared or
given out to help people join Case's Ladders, and to register for
Tournaments, etc.

This has been addressed more than once in the past. This is for anyone that
may have missed the "heads up" before, and this is basically a final "look
out" !!

Case's Ladder Rules and Policies do not, nor have they ever, allowed sharing
of passwords, period.

Person/s found to be sharing passwords may be removed from the Ladder/s
without any warning, regardless of status (i.e. Premium Account Member, Op/TD
etc).

The reason for such a tight policy is that when this happens, it creates a
multitude of ongoing problems in dealing with: cheating, same household
accounts, stolen or edited premium accounts, and multiple accounts. It can
and has made our job on the Multiples Team more difficult, and means that we
have to dig deeper and take longer for gathering the correct proof to deal
with Multiple Accounts.

Before anyone says "add more people to the Multiples Team", That is not the
problem! The problem with adding more people to the Team, the big picture is:
wasted bandwidth (server time) in doing the extra searches and extra time
spent researching dotting the "i's" and crossing the "t's".

I know this will be met with strong disapproval, because in a lot of cases
you are only trying to help people out and get them signed up on a Ladder
playing or registered in a Tourney.

We train our Ops on Case's Ladder Rules and Policies, and to hear (and in a
lot of cases actually see) this Policy being broken is not good.

Bottom line is this: it simply will be a ZERO TOLERANCE item!! Breaking any
part of this will result in finding the involved parties being penalized,
boxed, or removed from the Ladder.

Sincerely,

Stephen
