that covered a lot of it as you know you still could write a book on that subject bottom line is still cases wont ban the cheats to worried about the money when they tell me they will ban the cheats when the evidence is there like screen shots of peoples convos that they had during a game then they just box them let me know when they do that we might just get some where lol Thanks for asking.

: I'm one of the original members, but I'm getting old and my memory might be a little faulty. If I'm wrong I'm sure someone will step up and correct me.

: Long time ago we had hundreds of active players. Over time we - the players and ladder ops - helped customize quite a few rules - usually in reaction to some drama or incidents during games or in the lobby. Case's also changed up the rules and had quite the heavy hand with ladder ops and tds when premium members fussed. Things started levelling off, but the character of some of the players deteriorated and we struggled to find a way to keep the games fair.

: Our main concern was to try to control the troublemakers. Obviously, if you want to cheat badly enough there are plenty of ways to do it. We'll never stop all of it. But the frustration was that when cheaters were caught, Case's would not back up the ladder ops and tds. A lot of it was who knows who, who was sleeping with or cybeirng who, and who was a premium member vs us schmucks who had no money or no life. Certain authority figures did some really bizarre things to members and we got pretty discouraged.

: At one point a large group of the really active and concerned players formed a rules committee. We were all volunteers and we cared deeply about this place. We held many meetings and hashed out a bunch of rules and suggestions for making this a better ladder. But Case's turned a deaf ear - and that's putting it nicely.

: I probably still have some rules copied someplace, although that was at least 8 computers ago. . . I even have the standings of the top 100 from every fews months and a diary of who I played and who I parded. I was quite the addict.

: To be honest, I don't know if enough of us geezers will ever forgive Abi and Patti for what they did to us. I don't know that we can wipe the slate clean and try to start this up. There are tons of MyLeagues out there and only a handful that last more than a few months or do anything but silly tournaments. Case's was all about rank and that has not been duplicated.

: I think there are less than a dozen MyLeagues that have lasted more than 1 year with the same principal admins. Most of the leagues have their own dramas and clicque of cyber friends. This is a tough crowd and it's hard to find good people that are willing to put up with all the crap a volunteer has to endure. Been there - done that - not willing to put up with it anymore, especially after being screwed over by Abi.

: That said, I would like to play here again. I have fond memories of lots of good times and the skill level of the old cases players can't be touched in the MyLeagues.

: Promises come cheap - and hurt runs deep. I need to hear an apology and know that the peeps in the ivory tower are sincere about making this work.

: As for the old rules, my personal papers are back in Nashville and I'm living in San Fran, so I can't just dig through the old notebooks easily. Not going back to Nashville until the end of Feb for my birthday. Some of the rules stuff is easy enough to recall and some might need to be discussed and revised anyways. If you want to talk about rules, I'll make time this weekend to talk with whoever wants to contribute to that discussion.

: Thanks again for asking and for letting me have my say,

: Lace
