The only advantage I can think of in moving would be to go to a room with more players and try to recruit them to join. But the rooms with the most players already have leagues in them. We won't be greeted warmly when we raid another league's roster.

The bigger question is how to rebuild this league. Stealing players from other leagues isn't the answer. There are a lot of former players who would consider coming back. They are waiting to see if someone is going to create and enforce fair rules.

They are also waiting to see exactly who comes back. There are a lot of players with bad reps who are not wanted here. If they are allowed to come cheat, be rude, and harrass the ones who want a fair game against skilled opps, then there is not need for this league.

I don't see any good reason to move to another room - there are existing leagues in most of them - MyLeagues, Monkeys, and others. In my opinion we should plant ourselves in the Battlefield and get the word out to as many players as possible via email, IMs and postings in the forum that we are serious about building a new, strong, and fair ladder here.

We need some committed volunteers but we need to see some changes and committment for fair play from the top. A statement and apology in this forum from Abi and Patti for letting us down so badly years ago (when we so desperately needed backup for the TDs and Ladder Ops, fair policies, responsiveness to the committee suggestions, and serious rules enforcement) would be a good start.

I hope it happens - I miss the days when we had so many devoted Cases players that we filled three Yahoo rooms.
