It's been a long time since I ever posted in this place (which was very rare indeed).
My, oh my, this ladder just went downhill a long time ago.
I, too, remember lots of good times that this ladder once had. Even though I had a short hiatus for 4 months, I played on the ladder as often as I could.
Ah, but that was 3 years ago.....and, in that time, I've seen the ugly that took over the ladder and has just killed this ladder for some time.
When we had the honesty and integrity back in '99, everyone was happy and participated well.
But, in mid '99, there were some very unscrupulous people that decided to venture in and try to cheat everyone (including myself) and really got everyone in an uproar. It was thought that the matter would go away....and it did, for a little while.
But, once I got back from my little hiatus, the ugly side of things returned and had rooted itself.
I stayed around with a short stint as a TD and helped everyone out by chipping in; but, it was not to be. Everyone's opinion of negativity had set in and I was just flat tired of the dishonesty. And, so, that is why I got out of this mess.
Now, I have a job commitment that just seems to keep me away from here unless I decided to take a vacation....even though it would be for a very short period.
It would be nice to see some old members return and jumpstart this ladder again; but, for that to happen, you would just have to start over from scratch. And, that, my friends, just seems to be unfathomable and far-fetched and a virtually impossible task to convince these former members to come back.
