The Yahoo! Ladder and the ratings is like a drug to people. Once you get a very low rung on the ladder all you want to do is down people. Once you get a very high rating all you want to do is buy friends basically.

Yep, I have a 43K rating. Am I proud of it? Not really, when you come to think of it..
