There has been a rash of people failing to defend their rank while in the top ten.
According to the "Leapfrogging" Rule any time you occupy a rank in the top ten you are required to play a match against the player ranked directly behind you at least once per three days. If you are not doing this, you will be penalized.
Top ten players are expected to set a good example for the others on the ladder. If you want to be considered one of the best, act like it...defend your rank.
