I think it's great that I'm a T.D. now, although I haven't hosted any tournaments yet. Don't worry! I will, but I need to get a few things sorted out with my other life first. What I need to know is, will I be deleted automatically if I don't host a tournament for a while? Should I request to be put on vacation status?
Also, for those of you who like participating in tournaments, I'd like to hear your input on how I can make the tournaments really great...i.e. do you prefer fast pace or slow pace? Strict scoring or lenient scoring? Single elim? Double elim? Swiss? etc. I could make these decisions on my own, but I want to make sure you're all satisfied too. Personally, I prefer strict scoring and slow pace, and I love round robin tournaments. Otherwise, I like Swiss best.
I must say, getting a TDship was a lot easier here than in backgammon!
