Before The Zone had put in rated rooms the ladder room had 200+ players in it every night. Often on weekends you couldn't even get in. The rated rooms cut the attendance way back, but there was a hard core group of low man hearts players who remained loyal to Case.
At some point the Zone even removed the link to Case from their pages, but it was no big deal. We were internet savvy enough to simply type in the URL manually, add to our favorites, or chronic reporters like myself simply created a shortcut on the desktop. LOL Now with IE 5 that's not even necessary since you can retain your site history.
Earlier this year the Zone decided that Case no longer would be Zone endorsed and another ladder, playersladder.com was brought in. Zone sysops came into the room and gagged or booted people who posted the Case URL in the lobby. This went on for several weeks while Case tried to work things out with the Zone.
Eventually it was worked out that people could play on any ladder they want, and mention the Case URL if asked for it. We just weren't supposed to do active advertising of Case. This was not a big deal because none of us really did that anyway. In the Hearts ladder room no one plays playersladder matches any more. Most of the games are either case 4 way games or myleague Zone 1x1 games.
If the ladder room link vanishes Monday then you go to social room 2 and set up your tables and advertise for ladder players. Play your matches and report your losses to Case as usual. Hopefully the WON Hosts won't be like the Zone sysops were at the start of the so called change over. Time will tell if this will work or not.
