Consider any boycott carefully, who is really going to suffer, Won? Not, they expect a temporary drop in play during the transition. The only ones to suffer are the players on the ladder. If the boycott were highly successful and 70% of the players took the time off, they will drop in rank as the others play on. Won's decissions will be based on their needs as a business. They seem to feel their tourneys and prizes will be directly in competition with Case's so it's only natural they would want the home turf to themselves. If they are that close in what they are going to offer what have the players lost? The highly suspect practice of circumventing the once per day rule by allowing anyone to play the tops several times a day in tourneys. That really should be a positive and make the ladder more realistically competative. Might even make newbies have to climb the ladder like everyone else instead of playing tourneys for a couple days and ending up in the top 20s. Won certainly isnt doing this to drive players away so why not take a look at what they are offering and give it a chance, the ladder isn't going anywhere, it just wont have the tourney factored into it's dynamics. May not be such a bad thing. As for Case's gammon tourneys they still exist on several other sites and myleagues, try mplayer.com or yahoo. I'm not suggesting that you don't voice your opinions to won, just that you might not want to bite the hand that feeds you until you see what they are serving. And again the ladder is not going anywhere, there are other sites that operate non tourney ladders and do just fine. Do what you can to support case's and the tourneys, just be sure the point you want to make is the same as the one you will make with the actions you take.
