GET REAL PEOPLE !!!! First off let me say that I have done everything in my power to help in the cause to keep Case at WON. I wrote dozens of letters, made phone calls and even made a financial business proposal to Flipside which I hoped would make a difference. I have come to the realization though that their decision is final and no amount of positive concern will be addressed on the issue. Having said that we have to move on.....I totally agree with PRO about the site here. I have played at many other sites and none compare to WON for the friendly interaction of the people and the great graphics. I played at a new site yesterday Gamesite2000.....no icon representing the person, no sound and a flat board and the chat was lame. I felt like I was playing against a computer program. It was quite boring.I too would love to see Case stay here but if they leave it will not stop me from playing at WON or being a member at Case in another site. It took me two years to make the friends I have here and I am not willing to give that up.What I find really AMAZING AND SHOCKING is that for months whenever myself or anyone else made a post here about making the ladder better in respects to people observing the rules, all these self-righteous people have posted that the "enjoyment of the game" and "friendships" are what was most important and not the ladder, however take it away and they go ballistic !! Kinda hypocritical don't ya think ? If " the game " is really the important issue why turn around now and threaten to leave those same friends and a good gaming environment just cause a certain ladder will not be in use ? I guess when the chips are down it proves people are competitive after all and love the rank and were just lying when they said it was for the love of the game !! Come on folks......I want Case here too BUT I love Backgammon more and their leaving will not stop me from spending many hours here with the people that make the site fun ! If they were closing Backgammon down completely I could see being truly upset but the game is still here and the Case ladder will still exhist, it's simply not gonna be affliated with WON/Flipside. If Case maintains our ladder outside the Flipside affiliation, we will still have our ladder so lets not throw the baby out with the bathwater yet. Put your money where your mouth is and stand up to your previous convictions, which were just as strongly stated that the ladder was not important that is was the "game" that mattered to you and stop threatening to leave the site over a business decision we have no control over. Play for the "love of the game" like you said was sooooo important to you in the first place and the friendly community we have here which will not change.
