I am posting this to advise everyone that I have asked for a voluntary rank reduction on the ladder. I am now 705. Even though I love the competition and enjoy trying to better myself here, some individuals have made it impossible for me to look forward to that every day so I will just concentrate on playing my friends and leave that stress behind for awhile. I have played BG for over 20 years and have played 1600 games here and consider myself an experienced player. I play here for hours everyday and most of my matches are with people below me on the ladder. There are a handful of players here who were quite happy that I gave them upmatches everyday when I was in the top ten to help them climb the ladder. Now that they are in the top ten, they have no time to play ! I have asked 2 of these players which I helped climb the ladder and who are now above me, repeatedly for matches and they constantly refuse to play me. They are either "just talking", "not playing at the moment", "afk", etc etc ad nauseum...... if they come in here at all.
These same people were finally penalized to 375 once before for dodging matches and miraculously were then in rated for hours upon hours playing their friends to get back in top ten in one day, and then once they have their spot back continue to dodge matches from the same people that helped them back up ! I had a formal with one that was not played for almost a week yet he always had time to play his buddies instead of the formal and left right after. They laugh at the rules since they know that even if they get penalized they can cry and say how unfairly they were derunged and their buddies will help them back up. All you have to do is see the play record to see how more active they are when they are not in top ten. Also since I'm mouthing off I'm so sick of top players never being in the rated room and hiding in the damn tournaments !...........if you are a top player you should be in rated more often to give other ladder players a shot at you..............sick of people having all of a sudden "busy lives", "heavy schedules" " longs hours of work" .........all these things are fine but if you have no time to compete on this ladder get the hell off it and let people who have the time to compete have your spot !!!!!!!
But these people get away with it cause they are very "nice".........nice and hypocritical and unfortunately I am not always nice. Yes I know I get angry with people in the lobby and tell them off when I feel they are not right, but I get attacked every bloody night also so I defend myself ! Plus it gets aggravating to be given excuses all the time. Funny when I was # 1 it did not matter if I got mad in lobby, I was everyone's "best friend". There are a few great people in the top ten who play everyone up or down on the ladder ( you know who you are ) and I will continue to play them. As far as the other "losers" in top ten I hope the rest of you wise up to them. I just got fed up with the BS of having to beg for games in order to compete on this F....... ladder. Now they won't have to worry about me asking them and they can continue to cheat cause I don't care.
