I will not go into details or evidence in a public forum as I am sure it will not be the Ladder Op's that look bad.

But lets look at a few things I can and will say :

1) Long term members of another Ladder surely know the rules, it was not a quick decission as it was investigated fully over a 48 hour period.

2) Many times it has been asked for un-edited or non altered screen shots of anyone refusing a game, being rude during a game or locking out members from playing them .. yes, for breaking the rules that you mention. No one has come forward with that evidence .. if it is supplied the rules will be enforced. Talking trash about it in the forums will never get any action taken against members as although a lot say it "we do not class that as evidence".

3) As to sending Emails as proof when requested on abuse .. lets just say the "Source" of those Emails are checked for origin. It is so easy for people to create a yahoo, hotmail, gmail or what ever free mail service they see fit and send the mail as if they are someone else.

4) I do hope you all return and play by the rules and have your ladder names matching your EASO names and play the game, as I assure you non of this garbage will continue on tw2006 or will be tollerated for the rest of the duration of tw2005.

I will say one more thing, a certain person comes in here and stirs the pot, they have been forum banned more than I care to count :) But at least they do not hide or try to manipulate ladder rankings and standings and for that they are respected.

Have a great day / night

: Fair enough, but why the extreme decision and why do i get a email from another OP telling me that decision wasnt fair and i shouldve been given a chance on my side to explain? The whole point is, your quick to the draw on making that decision, a simple email to me wouldve been all it took. So talking on the board for years about Cheating tools and making up your own rules is fine because youve NEVER punished those that do, but playing roomates is soo bad 2 get booted and 1 gets 7 days? See my point? Seems to me you want to protect 2 players, let them say whatever they want, but by doing that, this ladder next year will be pretty much just those same ol players who have ruined it for 100's of people. The proof is in these boards, read whats been posted, and tell me how im wrong on this. Big Bird and Bert will be coming back, we will abide by the rule you posted, but since your soo quick and harsh to defend another rule, enforce these rules too then..(my response will be in ( ) )

: Sportsmanship:

: The same rules that apply to behavior in chat (covered later in these rules) also apply during games. If we receive complaints about the behavior of a user steps will be taken to deal with the problem. (when will you deal with this problem, been going on for years now)

: It is illegal to play in more than one Ladder match at a time. This slows down gameplay for everyone. (certain players set their own rules, why does this rule not get enforced?)

: Swing Method (added 9/24/04)

: Players must allow their opponent to use their prefered swing method eg: If player A is a TSer and Player B is a 3 Clicker the match must be set so both can play their prefered method. Refusal to play a match because of prefered swing method could result in a penalty to your account.

: (this rule has been broken forever, no one on this board accepts challenges from 3-click players, even been posted on here from those saying the wont, yet no response from you or penalties given out)

: Cheating:

: It goes without saying that we won't stand for cheating of any kind. This includes, but is not limited to, breaking rules, using modified utables, reporting false results, or otherwise tampering with Ladder rankings.

: (Well, tampering with ladder rankings is exactly what Dantendo does with his new rules and yet this goes unnoticed and continues to happen, his rules dont allow anyone to move on the ladder per your rules)

: Abuse:

: It is illegal to abuse or harrass another Ladder member. If you are observed being abusive in chat it could result in penalty. Depending upon the extent of the abuse you might not always receive a warning in these cases. It is important to remember that two wrongs do not make a right. In other words, if you are being harrassed by another Ladder member come to us for assistance. Do not take matters into your own hands or return the abuse, or you could find yourself in trouble as well.

: (so Dantendo sending emails to those who dont like his rules is ok? I did report the harrassing and vulgar emails from him, yet guess its ok for him)

:
: See my point yet?

: SegaKing

:
: : As I am the one that made the decision I will answer in here as requested by you without going into full detail.

: : Direct from the rules page :

: : Opponents:

: : You are not allowed to play Ladder matches against people who live in the same household as you. You can play friends and relatives who do not live with you, but you should limit matches against them to one or two a week. Remember, the idea of the Ladder is to see how you stack up against players from all over the world--not across the street.

: : You are not allowed to partner with people who live in the same household as you. This includes anyone who plays from the same physical location, whether or not they actually reside there.

: : You are not allowed to report losses to anyone who plays from the same computer or location as you do … ever. Our security software will detect this activity if it is attempted and participating accounts will be penalized or removed.

: : No where does it say you will be warned or supplied proof .. our Research Team are very experienced in this matter with over 8 years experience.

: : Yes you may have more than one account from the same location as stated in the rules, but the above applies and is applicable and is clearly shown on the rules page.

: : Maybe you did not read down that far, but as you are very in-depth at quoting other rules, I maybe mistaken.

: : : So cookie monster and kermit get banned for no proof? Yet Fist can post how edging is OK to do, even when EA tries to put a edge detector in to stop it? Isnt that proof that cases rules are being broken? Why all this protection for these 2 players, fist and Dan, who obviously have no respect for this game and ladder and continue to make a joke of it? Also, you put me in the penalty box with no proof or even a email warning? Please explain yourself on that one, i will be waiting...explain how you did what you did to me without proof..Please explain why me and my 2 roomates cant play this ladder, i sure dont see it listed on your rules, says multiple accounts are ok. Cant wait to hear this response, the OPs who made these decisions really needs to explain this...Yes, you may post the situation publicly while not posting personal info from any players involved. We will be waiting....show the proof you have and explain why that proof you used on us isnt the same dan and fist post all the time on here...
