Everybody Okay?

I just came back from two weeks in Florida to what looked like a war zone. San Diego is ablaze. So are other counties in Southern California. Wolfy, are you safe?

My oldest son got evacuated from Alpine, CA, then they evacuated the evacuation center. We hadn't heard from him in 12 hours, then he showed up 100 miles east of us...the first place that had gas pumps working. He finally worked his way back to our house. He found out his house is okay. His girl friend was at work when her family was evacuated, and she cant get to them. So, she's staying with us. My house is now a refugee center.

We have about 1" of ash all over the ground; it looks like grey snow. Everything in San Diego is shut down.

Our house is safe for now, even though we live in a canyon surrounded by dry brush. And with a change in the weather, firefighters are starting to get a handle on things. Air outside is thick and hard to breath; can't go out without a filter mask.

Over 500 homes lost in the area. A few belonged to friends and co-workers. So, next time you start a game, just think of those who have lost their computers and can't play this wonderful game of cybergolf!
