It's not hard to figure out who the guilty party is, but like Rod, no names mentioned. The rules are specific in game settings.

Settings:

There are no illegal settings for Ladder matches as long as BOTH players agree to them before the match begins. If someone starts the game with incorrect settings you should point it out and immediately return to chat. This will allow you to make sure you both understand what the other player wants. You can then restart the match.

I myself, would consider this game null and void, because "shootout" was not agree upon. It's a shame we have lost a good player, partly because of this. As I have received no complaint regarding this match, I will take no action. For the good of all, I hope Rod returns.
