bro I read your post the other day about the video card im using a geforce2 mx 400 which is a pretty old card i believe you can pick up this card or even better card for very cheap if you look here...pricewatch.com
secondly what probs were you having trying to get online it may just be a simple fix have you tried to post a message at the proper place? EA message boards...there are many guys there very smart on many PC issues like this.
On a last note with everything bro times change and so does games which mean ya have to expect things like memory and video cards have to be upgraded just like anything else.By no means am i trying to tell you what to play that is totally your choice but just my opionion here 2k4 is probably by far the best version yet hands down...yes it is very different from 2k1 but if you play real golf it is much more realistic in every single way..again this is your choice I wish you the best of luck with whichever route you choose to go.If you would like to try and see if you can get your game to work I will try to help anyway possible,if not GL bro.
