Ok let me see if I've got this str8: During a match a player experiences a MF and takes a mulligan. He asks the opposing team if they are ok with this. One player says ok and the other has no comment. The match continues and the team which benefitted from the replayed shot won the match. At this point, one player decides to protest the result and announces that there would be no report forthcoming. Somewhat later, a report is given, case closed right? You know better LOL
Several days later the winning team is reduced due to a "rules violation". This was done without invterviewing the participants nor discussing the matter with the team's captain. As a former Loopy captain, I certainly would have asked the following:
1) If the losing team was so offended by the mulligan, why did they continue the match?
2) If the losing team was so offended by the mulligan, why did they report?
3) Since there seemed to be differing opinions between two of the players, why not invterview th other participants?
4) Why was a "screenshot" of the chat in the lobby between the 2 players deemed sufficient evidence to take the aforementioned action?
5) Why wasn't the team captain afforded the common courtesy of an email explaining the intent of the ladder OP?
I believe the action taken here was the result of "shoddy" workmanship. I'd be ashamed to have such work attributed to my name. What bothers me most is the hit on our reputation. Our founder Roo as well as DJ, myself and our current captain Unlimited have gone to great lengths to attain/preserve what I beleive is amongst the finest of reputations. To have it besmirched by an allegation such as this is an affront to all we worked so hard to acheive. To claim we've been reduced due to a "rules violation" is akin to claiming we cheated. I take great umbrage to any such allegation being levied toward this team. For this I would certainly like (not holding my breathe) an apology. As far as mulligans go, I don't like them, don't use them but do allow others to use them as an act of sportsmanship. As far as team ranking goes? I believe you know where you may store that! Kindly disregard my earlier "non post". I was so pissed I forgot to enter my name/password and wiped out the fugger!
