Maybe this is the wrong forum to write this in but since it directly relates to teamers I felt this was the place. Yesterday I hosted a teamer and as I always do either in teamer or singles I ask all the players for their prefs. Well as a large percentage do the responce from everyone was NO.
Well the first hole was completed and then the opposing team stated in chat how much they despise b/n/m and they always set theirs to random settings with the feeling that was the fairest way to go.
Well a few things about that seem to change my attitude about the match and suddenly I found myself no longer in the mood of, as we all say before a match "lets have fun".
You might say I was kinda Upset because I was the one who set things up.
First off, If that was the players feelings before the match was started, then say So in room when I ask for prefs. If they would of said..w/s/s or w/h/f, I would of set it up that way, cause I ASKED.
SEcond, the reason I don't have it set to radom settings is plain and simple, SOME people just don't like a match to be set that way because if it starts the match with conditions they hate then It may take the fun for them out of the match. So in just my opinion I always ask. That way if they like a certain setting, then I know they will have fun and enjoy the match. I have seen some matches just get set up without even asking. Well, just me I sort of think thats kinda rude, but thats cool, and So be it.
I know I may get trashed for these comments but hey, I am very easy going and never try and do anything that may upset the other players. But I just feel strongly that when I ask for settings and everyone says NO, well don't complain once the match is under way.
These are just my opinions only and I realize that there are several players with opposite opinions and I respect that.
