Does it mean I lack skills? As the rightful owner of this handle, I assure you I do not lack skills. I ask our small audience what do you think this age old handle means?
There seems to be a zillion reasons for lack of players. The top three reasons in this order are the death of players, tourney games, (not team games) and lastly, the site the games are played on.
For everyone that dies, a new one surfaces if not more. That excuse is a dead end. A life is taken at any given time and I guarantee you those lives introduced pinochle before the end of their time.
Tourney games are a true turn off to vigilant hard core pinochle players who have a hunger for the game of pinochle as in team games.
The site cases upper echelon opted for negates a hard core pinochle game by the rules originated for pinochle. Tourney games back in the day were not nearly as popular as a team games. Tourney games for known then for a small group of players who preferred a chance at an easy win.
I recall being a captain of a team back in the day and having two of my players telling me they were cheating in a tourney because the two pones they were playing were suspected cheats by many in cases. Even I knew the two were cheating. I chastised the two and reported them with solid proof. The end results were shocking. They remained unscathed by the tourney Director.
What does no skills required mean to you?
