: IM NOT THE FIRST ONE TO HAVE HAD A PROBLEM WITH YOU, THATS FOR SURE, IM NOT WORRIED ABOUT THE LOSS, IM NOT LOSING SLEEP OVER IT, JUST DONT THINK THAT IM GOING TO SIT HERE AND NOT COMMENT ABOUT IT.

:: You probably wont be the last. A TD cannot please everyone. If I dint get complaints, then I feel I wasnt doing my job properly. When a decision is made its for the betterment of the majority not the few. Many players have not had a p show up. They accepted the loss with a positive approach. They werent happy, just disappointed their p did not show. You had every opportunity to withdraw from the tourney when it was evident that your p was not goin to show. I delayed the closing for 15 minutes and I feel that is more than fair. I dont know what else I can do. I have conducted numerous trnys over the past 5 years and I have never had an ocassion come up such as this. Give u an example. If you were running a singles trny and a Brother of one of the players said his Brother was sick and wanted to know if he could fill in for him. Would you let him play? I think not. However as Alnightlng stated in previous post, if the Brother would have used his name, no one would have been the wiser. That has probably been done before. OK so if I allowed your other player to play and the player who he replaced makes a report to cases that he did not play and the TD allowed another player to play in his place. Now where does that put me? In a heap of trouble. I hope this explains a little more why I made the decision I made. Thanks, Ledge
