The gaming programmer 'Howard' wrote the team captains asking for their input to tell them where the problem areas in crib and I posted in here so everyone would get a chance to say where the problem areas were in cribbage so we could get an idea of what needed to be done as the game is reworked. The Gaming programmer has nothing to do with the graphics and looks of the site. Howard IS trying to fix the game programming. We ARE trying to make the site better.
This is a copy of the letter Howard sent to the team captains a few days ago.

I will be looking at and correcting the cribbage code soon. Please let me know of anything I should look for. The other day I was playing something like: K-8-10-Go followed by 10-10 and was surprised that instead of saying pair it said Royal(pair) - that's an error. Just reply to this email so I have a written record. Do not tell me anything in lobby or game room, likelihood I won't remember or not be paying attention (especially lobby).

: every day we come into the room with the intention of relaxing over a decent game of crib or two. instead of which, we are offered...nope...make that forced to accept a pathetically bastardized version of the game most of us have been playing for as long as we can recall and have grown to love. instead of providing us with games that are so one-sided that there really is no point in even playing them, why doesn't the shack simply provide us with a little button we can click when we sit down at the table which will tell us whether we won the match or lost it. perhaps a virtual coin toss to determine the winner and we could all continue about our lives instead of wasting time in here with the crap we are being forced to ingest. i suppose we should be grateful for the little goodies we are provided...little halloween icons and the like, but somehow, for me, that just doesn't cut it. it is interesting to note that there is another site pretty much identical to the shack where the play is faster, the tables actually open quickly and games aren't as one sided as they are here. i'm certain that most of you, like myself, who spent considerable time moaning about the programming in the zone, would gladly have it back now in the face of what we have. so if this other site can produce something worthwhile, my question is ... why can't the people at the shack do the same? this is most certainly not what i anticipated back when we decided this would be a good place to move our ladder to. boy did we screw the pooch on that one. i understand that there is no way to faithfully reproduce the beauty of the game of cribbage (in real life) in an online atmosphere..but what these people have done to the game is, and should be, an embarrassment to all. having someone tell us that the shack is going to "look" at cribbage just isn't good enough. someone there has to step forward and actually be able to take some pride in the product they are making available. as it is now, it is just a total waste of everybody's time.
