timers being used in team matches now? Since when?

What do you think of each hand being on a timer for 15 seconds and hearing the clicking countdown each time it is your turn. Also how about if you don't play within that 15 seconds that a card is played for you automatically you don't get to choose? Toons played a match with another team this way tonight and I found it to be a not an enjoyable experience whatever in fact it was quite intemidating.
Sorry I refuse to play another match such as this and personally feel there should be a rule against timers being used.
