With the world coming to an end in December of this year, everybody is talking about the 'good old days'. The way we were. Remembering when we were young with radio, the invention of TV(Doris, Dixie), and our first color TV that you had to turn channels manually on. Remembering all the things before computers, ipads, smart phones, V chips, DVD burners, the internet bankrupting the postal service, etc,. Scrabble was invented the year I was born. A second cousin encouraged me to play, then left me $50,000 when she died of heart complications. I remember it well playing online. I try everyday to keep the ladder moving by playing 9 games a day, yet only get sick of losing, not the game. I remember Doris being here before the sun was up, then taking early morning naps while playing, Wenching bringing light, laughter, and joy to every game, Maureen taking her dog on walks during a game, Gamblers11 forgetting to report her losses, SQ reigning for weeks on end, and my little tiffs with the mighty Tyrone Tanic, and always the educator, Cheek. Oh, yes, and my many personalities here. No matter what, you have to admit it was funny, and I was very good at it. Too bad none of them were any good at getting the good tiles to make the spectacular plays.
I know the world isn't going to end, because Marty McFly travelled to 2015, so if you have fond memories of the 'good, old days', why don't you come back and play? You are missed, and loved here. I will even help you the best I can if you have Windows 7, or other computer problems. I can be reached at (216)973-6710 even if you want to tell me to just go to Hell.
