: What are our all time favourite games..on any platform?
: Mine is Vulcan, on the spectrum.
: I get together with a couple of friends twice a year, and we spend a weekend playing this, we have yet to find a game that matches it for out and out wargaming fun.
: We play the Kasserine scenario, taking it in turns to play alone as either German or Allies.
: To get this game, go to www.spectrum.org, download an emulator, and then the game.
: I'll send you a copy of the rules if you like the look of it.
: After this, there was mission impossible on the commodore 64..you know, the game where you had to construct the puzzle at the end of the game from the pieces collected during the platform type game to win.
: I used to love the old olympics simulations too, not the ones where you had to waggle the joystick like mad, but the ones where timing was everything...I was an ace ice dancer, and my ski jumping was pretty darn good, too:)
: Viking Invaders, on the spectrum, was another good one..simple to play, but hard to win on multiplayer..just as you're about to take your opponents castle, your man finds a flagon of ale and goes on a drunken spree, killing his own men!
: Those were...and still are, the days!
