I don't know... it never occurred to me, really. Live games just seem more suited to dissection. They're more "real". I generally remember them better and learn more from them. Also, I play online games more quickly and miss more obvious plays, so it could be embarrassing at times (Recently, I missed something as blatant as BROWNEST). On the other hand, it would be easier to get into details of a saved game where every rack has been recorded.
Maven takes a lot of the fun out of online games by taking on the role of word cop. Deciding whether to challenge or not... or to play a phony.. or to risk a word you're not sure of... and not knowing if the opponent knows any better than you do... is such an interesting part of live play. Online, Maven always knows better than you do, even if the opponent doesn't.
So I guess the point here is, I don't regard online games as being of as much interest as live games. I mean, everyone online plays online games, but not everyone online plays live club games.
But what the hell, maybe if I have a particularly interesting online game, I'll save it and go thru it in the forum.
