I don't even want to go into this one... first club night after tournament... basically just careless, on top of pure evil issuing forth from the bag.
1st game... easy player...and nothing too problematic from the bag... won 412 to 238.
2nd game... Dave H, the guy returning from a 5 year absence. Used to be 1717 rated. After 11 turns, 406 to 295 for him. I'd just bingoed with my only S, GULLETS. He'd had NOODLES, GeOIDiC*, and his worst 3 turns were 17, 20 and 20. Until he played out for 13. 295-433.
3rd game... Derek B, good player, given to a lot of phonies. Maybe leads the club in most challenges per game. But I left RERANG* and LAWNED* alone. He went into his 4th minute overtime due to searching for game breaking bingo on a board I'd closed down pretty securely. 374-245 mostly due to him screwing up more than I did.
4th game... Eugenio N. After 10 turns, 315 to 196 for him. Consecutive bingos with blanks. With my sudden acquisition of 2 esses, got TISANES down for 76 on 11th turn, picked PARTNER out of the bag, played for 86. Too little too late. Still 7 tiles left for me unfortunately, he played out quickly with his last rack being LIES. 370-444.
