: Dear friends from Mplayer and Zone families,

: Well it aint good news. When I saw what happened to Mplayer, I immediately sent an email to the customer help at hasbrointeractive. The last two days I have been in telephone and email contact and this is what has transpired and all I know up to now. I want you all to know that I posted this just before cases went down and then almost immediately cases went down and all the message forum was erased included this post wiped back to 1-20-01. Monday morning I called hasbro interactive and spoke to Kim who was very helpful and told me that Hasbro has been sold to Infogrames, a company in France. She stated that the takeover would probably take about a month to complete and that they are still in the process of that. She gave me the number to Wayne Charness in Corporate Communications who gave me the number to Jayson Hill (Public Relations) @ hasbrointeractive. I will copy and paste my correspondence for anyone who is interested. I spent some time speaking with Jayson this morning on the phone and he emailed me back this afternoon the response we already knew he would. Stating that they set up games.com and have no reason to pay another site to host their game when they have their own site. I was trying to negotiate the possibility of charging a fee to players to keep a contract for mplayer but the response to that was also one no go. Worse yet, in his latest email he hints that the answer to my question about the zone is also eventually a no go. I would suggest that Mplayers and zoners alike email Jayson Hill at his email address and complain about this outrage. Will someone please copy and paste this in the mplayer message forum for me as my account there has run out and i am not at liberty to make a post. Luv ya all!
