I used to be able to play sometimes a dozen or more games a day here... especially on weekends... and think fast enough to finish a game without having made too many glaringly stupid or rushed moves. Now, to even play one game every 3 or 4 days feels almost like a chore. The player base has declined. Of those still playing regularly, it seems an ever increasing percentage are disinclined to play me.
And when I DO play... I've become more accustomed to the sedate pace of live games. 30 sec turns used to be comfortable, now they're jarring. It seems to me I'm making far more boneheaded rush plays than normal.
And just for added amusement, there's the occasional mplayer hijinks preventing you, or people you WANT to play, from logging on, or whatever.
I'm wondering if it's better to ride this out, and play sparingly... or do the opposite, try and play a lot of games and get back into the 30 sec mindset (that is, if enough people would even play me)... or just forget and it and let Cases delete me. Doesn't make a lot of sense coming to play somewhere you're really getting sick of, does it?
