dear players,

If you would like to test the zone for direct ip game or ipx, which is that you create a game on your local host and then the other person has to join local and you can play, works for all games. I will be in direct ip lounge of zone under sports tomorrow at 3pm if you want to help test this out. Thank you for your support.

Respectfully,

Here is what you need:

The Zone gives you the ability to play the hottest multiplayer online games. ZoneLAN - DirectPlay offers free multiplayer matchmaking for some of the hottest games that support DirectPlay Lobby. Unfortunately, not all DirectPlay games support the DirectPlay Lobby feature. If you'd like to play a game that supports IPX, use ZoneLAN - IPX.

What You'll Need

A FREE Zone Name and password (Sign up now!)
Game software for the game you'd like to play
Windows 95/98, or NT 4.0 or later with Service Pack 3
Microsoft Internet Explorer version 3.02 or later, or Netscape Navigator version 4.0 or later

How to Play

From the DirectPlay Game Rooms page, enter one of the rooms by clicking its name. A game currently being hosted alternately displays its official title and the one given it by the host. To host a game move your pointer over an unoccupied matchmaking square and click the Host icon.
In the dialog box that appears, replace "My Game" in the Game name box with a name of your choice.

If you like, you can click the Private game check box and assign the game a password. Make sure you give the password to everyone you want to play.
Click a game in the Select a game box to highlight it, and then click OK. Players who want to join must also have the game installed on their own machines.
