Case's Ladder is the largest multi-player gaming league on the Internet with just under 2,000,000 registered users. The leagues include complete rankings for all players and dozens of statistics including win-loss, win percentage, hot/cold streak, ranks played, glicko skill rating, and highest achieved. All matches are processed in real time to give the latest up-to-date rankings. In addition to our ladders and leagues we provide much in the form of community. Forums, gaming news, live chat, and voting booths are all provided so that you can communicate with your fellow players. We also work closely with the major gaming services and software companies to bring you good deals on popular software, special beta-testing opportunities, and more. As a member of Case's Ladder you are part of the family as a whole. You are representing us and all the other players when you are playing Ladder matches. Because we rely heavily on the support of the gaming networks and producers of the games that you play we have some guidelines for how you need to behave online. It's part of your duty to be respectable so that you don't give the Ladder (and other players!) a bad name. To enforce this there is a specific heirachy established to handle enforcement of rules, discipline, and complaints. If you have a problem in chat look for a LadderOp to assist you. LadderOps do not have the power to kick, mute, or ban other players in chat in most cases. They are a staff presence available in chat to help you come to a fair resolution when problems or disputes arise. If they cannot help you with the problem themselves they will get someone who can or refer you to the proper place to go to report the situation. They are there to assist you, so take advantage of them. If you have a problem with or wish to file a complaint against a LadderOp you can send it via E-mail to opcomplaint@igl.net First of all this league is about sportsmanship and having fun. Almost all of our users are here for that. Our statistics indicate that 99.4% of matches are reported without a problem. If you SHOULD ever run into someone who doesn't report your match you need to report them to our staff. We have a SUPPORT area on the site that you can use to do this. Members who do not report are penalized harshly and removed from the league if they have multiple offenses.

MyLeague.com allows any player the chance to create a gaming league and host tournaments using the same software that Cases ladder uses. The goal was to give players the power to create, control, administer and promote their own league and tournaments. Case's Ladder is the backend engine which will power the leagues. It provides players with the power to run a league the way they want to. In other words, MyLeague gives gamers the autonomy to manage leagues and create their own rules. The league administrator has access to a comprehensive control system with the ability to host forums and post messages to the site. MyLeague administrators can edit over 20 statistics of the players' records and integrate their own rules into standard rule templates. MyLeague gives administrators the power to police their site, to ban users, or place users into a "penalty box" which prevents players from participating. Management features allows administrators to find and remove duplicate accounts as well as search through detailed logs of both player activities and administrative actions within their league.

The ladders run by Cases are not operated the same way that a myleague is.
Regular ladders are permanent structures that can not be disbanded -- myleagues are not permanent because they can be removed at any time by the administrator.
There is a grievance procedure for regular ladders and an extensive network of trained volunteers and staff to assist you with problems -- myleagues problems are dealt with by the admins of that ladder only; their decisions are final
Basic rules are established for all ladders; any changes to these rules must be approved by the members of that ladder before they are put into place. These game specific rules are placed in a voting booth for an extended period of time and public meetings are frequently held so that all may voice their concerns.-- myleague rules are created by the administrators of that ladder.
Tournaments under the regular ladders also have a chain of command and grievance procedures that are operated independently from the Ops which monitor rules enforcement. Each ladder has Td's and Head Tds to provide tournaments for the gamers. There is also a TDManager that oversees several ladders and assists with tournament problems, discipline, complaints, and new ideas for fun tournaments -- myleagues also have TD's and Head TD's but they are monitored by the admins and do not have a separate Tournament Manager that focuses on tournament issues.
I am sure that I have missed many of the key differences, but I hope it clarifies some questions for those of you who are confused about how our ladder is different from the many myleagues that are already present at pogo crib.
