It has nothing to do with being exclusionary. The ladder rules say you can play up to 3 games per day with the same opponent.
The SOP has been for a long time that many of the regulars play all three games back to back.
IMHO, a ladder match by definition is man-on-man with two bots. And so, I do not play 3-way or 4-way ladder matches, ever. Plus, the Hardwood software does not handle reporting well, which makes it a nightmare to report.
On a tangential topic, I find that the 3-game rule is often abused... details which I will not get into... and my recommendation would be to vote it out, and go back to the good ole days of a single game per opponent per day.
