It's Time

As I look at the posts here, there is the post I made 12 weeks and 3 days ago about my mom passing away after a very long and lingering illness. 4/3/11.

12 weeks and 2 days from the day our mother died, my much loved older brother, Brian, he just turned 52 on 6/10/11, was driving home as he does everyday from work.

On Hwy 18 a boy who just turned 17 on 4/28 crossed the center line and hit my brother, who was traveling at 55 miles per hour. Hit him head on.

My brother fought for his life for over 7 hours. Everytime they tried to transfer him to the gurney to life flight him from our hospital to a Trauma Center his blood pressure dropped. After 3 hours of surgery of trying to stop enough of the internal bleeding to stabilize his blood pressure the helicopter was sent to the trauma center and brought the trauma team here.
After more than 4 hours of more surgery and over 45 units of blood his heart gave out.

He died approximately 1:20am on 6/29/11. His new bride was able to briefly see him when he first got to the ED. He knew she was there and that the rest of us were as well. That was the last that he was concious as far as I know.

July 10th is their 1st anniversary. They married last year on July 10th. To make sure my mom could be there.

I have had the honor of representing 2 clubs. Renaissance Hearts and Hardwood Hearts. For over a year now there hasn't even been a hearts game page at Renaissance Hearts. It was probably over a year ago when I played in a Hardwood Hearts tourney.

I dutifully check all forums I was taught to do.

In 12 weeks and 2 days, half of my family has been wiped out.

For the good of Case's and of the Ladders I represent, it is time for me to resign. Yes I am sending a staff letter as well.

I hope someone will e-mail me instructions for purchasing a Case's Ladder coffee cup. I would love coffee cups from my 2 ladders as well.

Case's has been a part of my life for over 10 years. I met my best friends here. I will continue as a loyal player and as an avid advocate.

I do love you all.
