I think because you are new you might be a tad suspicious. In my opinion, all the "riff raff" have left years ago. We are down to about 10 or so Players. None of them cheat. There is no point. The only players here are the die hard players like me who dont even care about the win/loss record. We just want to play risk with a human. The ladder is a side benefit. I honestly feel that you are just experiencing some bad luck. It happens to me weekly. I kill my opponent and have the game won and boom click crash and inevitably they dont report. Its simple ... the game was written and programmed in 1995 and it lacks serious internet connectivity stability ... its a great game but we must live with its flaws ... throw in some good ol genetic human nature and you will get many crashes without reports ... i personally go out of my way to give players the benefit of the doubt ... i say most will unless there is some personality conflict and if someone has an attitude toward you then yes they will avoid the report ... i recommend you just hand in there and dont quit ... be nice and it will go a long way for the crashes ... i have been here for over 10 years, 60 thousand games, 6000 reports and seen just about everything ...

if you have an issue with one specific player come speak to me ... im the oracle and know all :) ... i will tell you exactly what to do if you need specific help ...

the program is called SnagIt and yes it will take a proper picture if you set the input to Advanced DirectX ...

My way of dealing with issues has never been to report or escalate ... just work it out ... every player i know here is nice and reasonable ... all the bad apples have rotted away and thats a good thing ...

i will say that many many times one player is completely conviced the game is theirs and the opponent does not agree ... happens to me all the time ... me being the expert pro that i am (cough cough :) ... i am convinced if i am set and stable in oz and asia its just a matter of time ... but a less experienced player is not so convinced ... you might want to give the benefit of the doubt based on who the player is ... the experienced players pretty much know this game like the back of their hand and exactly how the bots work ...

The best advise I can give is this: When you play and there is a crash for your opponent ask them if they want a report ... if they say yes then do it ... in doing so you pretty much assure you have made a risk friend and they in turn will report your crashes
