ok so i downloaded the free trial and installed it ... that was great ... no problems ... btw it uses c:\program files\risk ... i think all others are c:\games\risk or c:\program files\hasbro\risk so there should not be any conflicts with having both versions unless for some reason your current risk game is located in c:\program files\risk

with that said ... the game was interesting ... extremely up to date and fast ... seemed rock solid and stable ... there is only one (well 2) flaws ...

1) it appears they have cards set on increasing and no way to change it ... so the game is basically useless ... you can finish the whole thing (pretty and up to date and bug free as it is) in like 3 minutes ... UGGG

2) minor flaw ... no networking ...

ok so we now have a quite modern beautiful, fast, bug free, new Risk game (from Hasbro) which we cannot play on the NET but even if we could it would only last 3 minutes ... talk about a downer ...

So the only light here is that maybe we can all send emails to hasbro and request they add networking and an option for Fixed Cards ... they I think we have a future!

Uncle Stephen <><

p.s. I only used 1 hour trial and I am assuming that paying for the game in no way changes or adds anything ... i will try to contact hasbro and see if any changes can be implemented ... this might be just a good first attempt and just maybe "Version 2" could be developed! ...
