So let me get this right and you tell me if I'm off-base here or not. I am basing this off of the person who posted a reply post under Sad News Thread. Which they pulled after they pulled my original post this morning. There was no reason to pull it, all I did was summarize what they said along with what has been happening here.

So I pasted their original post so you can reference it and understand where I'm coming from:

Here is the post that original post:

Back when Sierra owned the Hoyle Trademark and the site, it sold the Hoyle Brand
to Encore, however they did not sell the Hoyle Online site. Well back in January
the contract between Sierra and Hoyle expired and Case's began talking to Encore
because they didn't even know that Sierra still owned the online site. Then last
week Activision, who bought Sierra, killed the hoylegames.sierra.com URL
thinking that would close the site, but we fooled them and discovered a way to
get around that with the mapping in the hosts file so today they threatened a
lawsuit if Case's didn't shut their hoylegames.igl.net URL. And that's the
story.

And my post read like this ( I've edited my post to remove specific names ):

So let me get this right, this ladder with the help of the person who made the post above
(excerpt from that post: "Then last week Activision, who bought Sierra, killed the hoylegames.sierra.com URL thinking that would close the site, but we fooled them and discovered a way to get around that with the mapping in the hosts file so today they threatened a lawsuit if Case's didn't shut their hoylegames.igl.net URL. wanted to charge those of us who wanted to stay $20 to play at a site that they were knowingly hacking into illegally.

And instructing people on how to map to access that site, which then involves those unsuspecting players in the lawsuit also. To me that's not only wrong but criminal.

It's funny how someone craves recognition so immensely, that they will implement themselves in an illegal/immoral activity. It really makes you question their character and wonder what else they are involved with.
